Location: Chattanooga, Tennessee

Rapidly growing manufacturing company in the North Georgia area is in search of a Controller for their manufacturing operation. As the Controller, you will play a vital part in the leadership team of the manufacturing operations. You will also assist the President with new business direction related to manufacturing capabilities.

Job Description:

• Implement new processes for the accounting team. Train and provide support to direct reports with the new processes.
• Standard costing development and maintenance.
• Manage physical inventory and year-end inventory to reduce shrinkage and waste.
• Provide support to the accounting team as needed, including budgeting and forecasting.
• Construct product profitability statements including product line P&Ls.
• Preparation and analysis of month-end reporting for the plant.
• Monitor all payables and receivables related to plant operations and assist in meeting cash flow objectives for the company.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Prior experience working closely with the C-Suite to identify growth opportunities for new markets and products based on manufacturing capacity.
• Minimum of 3 years as a Controller in a Manufacturing Plant.
• CPA preferred.
• Must have prior experience implementing new financial processes and procedures in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency of accounting systems, including implementing new ERP systems.
• Budgeting and forecasting experience.
• Proficient knowledge of general ledger functions and month-end close process.
• Proven leadership and communication skills.
