			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>While working as a recruiter for more than 25 years, in the Apparel, Fabric, Fiber, and Nonwoven Industries, I have noticed that at any point in time, there are always 3 positions that many companies are seeking to fill. Why are these positions the most sought after by companies? In order for business to be successful, in the Fabric, Fiber, and Nonwoven Industries, it is crucial to have the best talent in these roles.</p>
<p>1. <strong>Sales Management</strong>- All Companies want to be sure they have the absolute best talent working with their customers, and companies want to hire the person that knows their customers and products the best. Sales people with experience in the company’s client base, or sales people that have sold competing products are excellent candidates for Sales Management positions.</p>
<p>2. <strong>New Product Development (PD</strong>)- New niche markets where companies can grow market share are constantly being identified; the product development team must be able to deliver new products to the market in the shortest time possible. Companies look for PD talent that can effectively manage the project management process of developing new products. If a PD manager can obtain skills using PD management tools, like Stage Gate, then they will have a better opportunity to land a role in this area.</p>
<p>3. <strong>Quality Assurance and Process Improvemen</strong>t- In order to streamline processes, this person must improve the quality of the process for products and services, and reduce cycle time developing new products. The Quality of the product or service must continue to improve, or you will become redundant in today’s market.  Companies are seeking talent that can implement a lean manufacturing process at the shop floor level, people that can teach and lead kaizen events and kaizen philosophies. “Quality Systems” knowledge is very important for companies who are looking for Quality Assurance talent. Candidates who use Quality Processes such as ISO 9001, 14001, TS16949, etc., and Quality Systems certifications such as CQE and ASQ are extremely desirable among most companies.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">The fact is that companies are seeking people in these areas at all levels of management, including VP, Director, or Manager. Candidates that have 85% or more of the skills to do the job are the ones that will be hired. There is a lot of activity in today’s job market, and companies are trying to find the “perfect match” for their job opening. It is important to gain specific knowledge and skills related to your field to make yourself stand out among others. If you can do that, then you are well on your way to achieving career success!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>For companies, sometimes it can be challenging to work with a recruiter. You are already swamped with everyday business practices, which makes it difficult to allow time to describe to the recruiter the type of person you need for your position. The last thing you want is for your desires for the new hire to get lost in translation. Here is my opinion of the top 5 best practices when working with a recruiter to make life easier for your company.</p>
<p>&nbsp;<br />
1. Share with your recruiter as many details as possible about the position you wish to fill. Define the tangible and intangible skills that the person must have. The recruiter must talk with human resources and the hiring manager to gather a complete list of duties and responsibilities for the new hire. These details may include benefits package, relocation assistance, compensation, bonuses, and stock options.</p>
<p>2. Give reasons why someone should leave their current job to work for your company. Describe the culture of the company and give examples of opportunities to advance their career with your organization.</p>
<p>3. Establish a clear understanding of how the recruiter should best communicate with key stakeholders within the company. Decide on a communication preference to allow free flow of information between the recruiter and company. Top caliber candidates do not remain in the job market long. Open communication and timely feedback between the company and recruiter will ensure that you do not lose the best candidate to another job opportunity.</p>
<p>4. Define a timeline to conduct the search. Discuss the amount of time needed to find candidates, when your company can interview, and when you want the new hire to begin working.</p>
<p>5. Describe the most successful people in your company and what qualities and skills they posses. What is the prior work experience of successful people in your company? Establish target companies where the new person might be employed, possibilities may include competitors.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>After more than 25 years of executive search experience at Adkins and Associates, I decided it was time to launch my own search firm. Coley Company first began on June 1, 2010 and was created by Doug Coley, Nancy Coley and Denise Davis.</p>
<p>While working at Adkins and Associates, Denise and I were taught the foundations of how to be successful in the search business. Coley Company is a new business that is built upon many years of past knowledge and experience.</p>
<p>Denise Davis brings more than 15 years of recruiting experience at Adkins and Associates with her to Coley Company. The strong business working relationship that Denise and I have together aides in successful communication and recruiting skills within our company. We are able to work together to find the best candidates for the best companies, and there is not a search we cannot complete.</p>
<p>The market that we focus on at Coley Company includes both contingency and retained searches for companies in the Apparel, Fabric, Fiber, and Nonwoven industries.
